Xに戻ると、実際のディスプレイバックライトは変更されていません。
XF86MonBrightnessDown(fn + some-key)も以前は動作していましたが、動作しません。
この問題をさらにデバッグするにはどうすればよいですか?

検索を絞り込みました。
$ls /sys/class/backlight/
ideapad
intel_backlight
ideapadを使用すると、これがシステムのデフォルト値のように見えますが、効果はありませんが、 intel_backlight を使用すると、次のような結果が得られます。
$echo 1000 | sudo tee /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
1000
以下で最大の明るさを見つけました。
$cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/max_brightness
13046
後でxbacklightやその他のツールをintel_backlightに切り替えるためのソリューションを見つけました。
