VIMエディタからクリップボードにコピーすることはCentOS 6では機能しませんか?

vim私はCentOS 6(Gnome Desktop Environment)を使用しており、コマンドで必要なので、エディタで.txtファイルを開き、そのテキストをターミナル/コマンドラインに貼り付けてURLをコピーしてみました。

単に押すだけで"*ddテキストがクリップボードメモリにコピーされず、代わりに間違ったドラムサウンドが再生されます。マウスではなくキーボードだけに頼りたいのですが大丈夫でしょうか?
